Freeze my membership

Membership may, under specific circumstances, be frozen or suspended for up to 3 months, subject to prior receipt of the request and approval by activeNewham. Approval may be granted for specific reasons, and evidence to support the request may be required. Depending on the circumstances, there may be a monthly charge for this service. 

All requests must be submitted at least 10 working days before your membership monthly Instalment.

All requests must be submitted at least 10 working days in advance of your monthly installment.

Any forms sent after 16:00 on the 20th of each month will not be completed until the 1st of the following month; therefore, the Freeze will not take effect.

You can only freeze your membership once in a rolling 12-month period.

We are unable to accept or process freeze requests over the phone.


How to freeze

Freezing your membership is simple:

Step 1: Complete the online form

  • Have your membership ID or card number (starting ACT) ready.
  • Go here to complete the form:
  • Press Start now to begin filling in the form

Step 2: Submit the online form

  • Once you've completed all the sections on the form, press the Submit button.
